The typical PhD program at IIT-H takes 3 to 5 years to complete. PhD students are expected to complete 6-18 credits of courses depending on their last academic degree. The student, in consultation with their PhD supervisor may identify the courses to be completed. A proposal must be presented and defended by the student within 13 to 18 months of the start of the PhD program.
